Calling Haringey Colleagues
The vaccination programme is ramping up once again and we have high demand for the booster jab in Haringey.
Thank you to everyone who has already stepped forward to support. Many more of you have asked about how you can get involved.
This page highlights some of the ways that people can either volunteer or be paid to work at the Haringey GP run sites.
There is no obligation whatsoever – we ask you to be aware and share this information with people who work / live in the area who might be interested.
Volunteering
We need people to help marshal, steward and provide on-site admin at our two primary vaccination sites at Bounds Green and Lordship Lane/Morris House. These are incredibly important roles and make a huge difference to the smooth running of our vaccination clinics.
Register interest here to work either at Bounds Green or Lordship Lane
Vaccinating
People who are CRB checked can train to be vaccinators by completing online training and doing a full day of ‘on-the-job’ training with the clinical lead for the site at Morris House Group Practice, Lordship Lane.
This involves a briefing, shadowing and graded training to ensure competency levels are reached. The next training session will be at Lordship Lane on Saturday 18th Dec (all day).
Once trainees are ready to vaccinate, subsequent shifts would be paid at £17/hr via invoice – unless people choose to volunteer.
Once trained you can work at either site. People would be asked to commit to around five sessions of vaccinating in total (can be mix of daytime / weekends and no fixed end point).
